Frequently asked questions . . .
1) How do you determine how much to charge for a restoration?
The cost is determined by many factors, including the quality of the scan, the size of the image, and the amount of damage to the difficult-to-restore areas, such as faces, hands, etc..
2) How long is the turnaround time?
In most cases, we can have a digital proof ready to email to you within three business days of receiving your order.
3) Do you charge extra to convert a B&W image to Sepia or a Sepia image to B&W?
No.
4) Why do you require payment in advance?
To ensure that our relationship with the client is exclusive. However we do offer a 100% money-back guarantee on our work.
5) I don't feel comfortable sending the original portrait through the mail, but I don't have a scanner. Any suggestions?
Yes. Many local companies like Kinkos offer scanning service.
6) I have a very large print that I'd like restored, but it will not fit on my scanner. Any suggestions?
Many of our clients have had success photographing the print with a digital camera. Just be careful to avoid glare from a flash or other light source. And it's imperative that the image be perfectly square in the frame to avoid image distoration.
7) I have a nude photograph I'd like retouched. Do you work on images with nude subject matter?
Yes. We do restoration and retouching work on tasteful images of any kind.
